About Us

Cub Scout Pack 603 formed in 1980 (originally as 3603) to serve the Bear Branch community in Kingwood Texas, and remains strong today. We are an active pack that ranges from 50-60 scouts in grades Kinder-5th. The heart of the Cub Scout program centers on the Den, which is assigned by age and rank. Boys progress through age-appropriate achievements which give them an opportunity to meet new challenges, learn about the world, and find their place and responsibility in it.

Pack Meetings
Once a month the entire Pack meets for special programs, fun, and awards. Highlights of the year include Pack campouts, service projects, Scout Fair with all the other troops and packs in the Houston area, summer Cub Scout Day Camp, hiking, fishing, rockets and of course the fierce competition of Pinewood Derby!

Volunteering
The Pack is volunteer-led, and depends entirely on the involvement of Scout parents to function smoothly. We are a family-oriented organization, and parents and siblings are ALWAYS encouraged to participate whenever possible.
